About The Poster: This poster was created for a 1980 exhibition of Yoshiko Hirasawa's works at the Le Triskele gallery in Paris.
About the Artist: Yoshiko Hirasawa was born in 1939 in northeastern China. After a brief career as a broadcast announcer for NHK, Yoshiko Hirasawa left for Paris in 1974 to become a painter. An encounter with Marcel Duchamp would have a definitive impact on her pursuit of aesthetic beauty. She would have her breakout in Paris and go on to exhibit in the US, Russia, Egypt, and Japan.
On July 7, 2017, Hirasawa passed away in Paris.
The poster is unlined and in very good condition with a small tear on the bottom right margin. Please see photos. From a private collection
