Exceptionally executed in brass/bronze with brilliant gold gilt / antique copper finish. Almost certainly Nepali work, the large scale Buddhist Buddha depicted with intricate spiral snail hair that represents traditional Nepalese fire, pointed ushnisha, serene facial expression, with sharp features and long downcast eyes, elongated pierced earlobes, on tapering neck.

Condition:
Great original vintage condition. Attractive appearance with lustrous sheen, polished glow, and nicely aged warm rich patinated surface, with scattered dark patina, oxidation, tarnish, minor scuffs, light surface scratches, abrasions, accretions, typical wear commensurate with age, handling, display and exposure.
