A charming Swedish bentwood box, circa 1890s, in very good condition. Entirely hand painted with floral motifs, this piece features a warm red painted interior and a decorative painted surface that continues all the way around. Traditionally, boxes of this kind were often used for food storage or household items.
With its curved form, painted handle, and vibrant folk art decoration, this box is both functional and decorative, an authentic piece of 19th century Scandinavian craftsmanship.
