A graceful pair of Japanese Imari porcelain vases, crafted during the Meiji period (1868–1912). Each colorful vase features a flared rim above a tapering baluster body, meticulously hand-painted in the classic Imari palette of iron red, cobalt blue, and verdant green, with delicate gilt accents. The panels depict lively scenes of songbirds perched among flowering branches, symbolizing harmony and seasonal renewal.
Both vases were previously converted into lamps and have since had the drill holes professionally filled. One vase remains intact aside from a stable hairline crack running through the body. See pictures.
Measuring approximately 17 inches high and 9 inches in diameter, this elegant pair weighs a combined 18.5 pounds. Beautifully aged and richly decorative, these antique vases offer timeless appeal as standalone accents or as flanking pieces on a console or mantel.
