An absolutely stunning set of antique Rare Pink Enamel, Gold Trimmed Luncheon Plates, Set/12. The pattern was made for the prestigious NY retailer of fine goods, Gilman & Collamore of Fifth Avenue and 30th Street, New York by AJ Wilkinson Ltd of Staffordshire England circa 1910. (Ye olde Hall Potterie was a pseudo name of ware produced by A J Wilkinson Ltd from the early 1900's to c.1930.)
Davis Collamore & Co. was a high-end New York City importer of porcelain and glass, headed by Davis Collamore (7 October 1820 — 13 August 1887[1]). The firm were rivals to Tiffany & Co. and Black, Starr & Frost at the time.
The rare "Hot Pink" heavily decorated rim is stunning and highlights the ornate gold center snowflake. The plates have a high mid lip to contain sauces or dressing and the plates are shaped with a delicately scalloped edge.
