The sound on these bells is divine and so pure. The modern simple shape is classic of Danish design. It is hallmarked J.Th.S and Denmark, which attributes it to the silversmith Jørgen Th. Steffensen between 1972 - 1976. It is not specifically marked Sterling or 925, but the laws around marking silver in Denmark were very lax and up to the discretion of the maker until the 1980s, so it isn't always telling. Often, the maker's mark and "Denmark" were enough to assure buyers that it was a quality piece. This piece is similar to the sterling dinner bells made by Hans Jensen of the same time period. It seems several silversmiths made them.
