This large Renaissance styled Tuscan Majolica plate was hand crafted and exquisitely painted, featuring a central winged putto holding a cluster of fruits, surrounded by a border decorated with yellow lilies and corn ears. The piece has an intentional overall crackle finish. Artist signed along the bottom edge.
Dating to the early to mid 20th century (1930s–1950s), this plate remains in great condition with some wear, including minor stains, firing imperfections, and light natural crazing. The most notable flaw is a small chip on the putto's stomach, as shown in the last two photos, including a close-up view.
