Created by German ceramic workshops and factories, this charming porcelain group dates from the late 19th century.

Crafted in white bisque porcelain, this group features a young boy dressed as a Bohemian boater, seated cheerfully on a boat—the basket—with woven wicker motifs in relief. The whole is in a charming Victorian-style setting, but more similar to the Romantic style of late 19th-century Germany.

In excellent overall condition, it is numbered "3986," which is typical of this type of porcelain group, produced by German porcelain workshops of this period.
