This antique Doulton Lambeth stoneware match striker is a wonderful example of Victorian ceramic tobacciana, dating from the late 19th century, prior to the company’s “Royal Doulton” designation in 1901. Crafted in textured stoneware with attractive green and brown glazes, this large match striker features the inscription “Shew us a light” in decorative script across the top.
The base is clearly stamped with the early Doulton Lambeth marks, confirming its authenticity and age. In excellent condition for over 120 years old, this antique match striker shows only light signs of use with no cracks or damage.
