Its … Read more Inarco (International Art Ware Corporation) emerged from Cleveland, Ohio, as a prominent ceramics brand during the 1960s and 1970s. Its founding designer, Irwin Garber (who previously co-founded Napco in 1938), began importing new and distinctive Japanese ceramics that were popular at the time. Seemingly every American home contained some form of ceramic figurine or dishware, usually made by Lefton and Napco. While the competition leaned toward figurines, wall pockets, cookie jars, teapots, and canister sets, Inarco became famous for its whimsical head vases. See less
