An energetic mid-century still life painting that presents a lively arrangement of everyday objects, infused with bold colour contrasts and expressive brushwork, and executed in oil onto board.

At the centre, a plate of apples and pears glows in warm tones of red, yellow, and green, set against the cool blues of a decorative vase featuring a painted motif. To the side, a smaller plate of bright green grapes adds freshness to the composition, while a pair of vibrant pink carnations in a glass tumbler bring a delicate touch of nature.

The background, composed of pastel pinks and yellows, is animated with broad, sweeping strokes that suggest the folds of drapery, creating a rhythmic backdrop for the objects.
