The shield bears a prominent eagle beneath a knight’s helmet and sweeping foliate scrollwork, all framed by a softly scalloped rim that gives the piece a pleasing architectural rhythm.

The mellow pewter surface and dimensional relief make this especially effective in a layered traditional interior. It would work beautifully above a small framed landscape, incorporated into a gallery wall, or grouped with old engravings and other European metalwork in a library or entry hall.

Its nearly nine-inch scale gives it enough presence to stand alone while remaining easy to mix into a larger arrangement.
