A monumental ceramic vase by Bitossi, circa 1965. Possibly designed by Aldo Londi or Alvino Bagni, whose ceramic pieces for Bitossi included vases, ashtrays, lighters, serverware, and more. Tones of olive, persimmon, and marigold and featuring engraved floral motif, this piece is an icon of Italian mid century modern ceramic design. Note the Rosenthal-Netter (the mid century company which imported artist-made vessels from Italy en masse throughout the 1960s-70s) sticker still intact on verso of the vessel. This particular height - nearly 18 inches tall - is incredibly rare for a Bitossi vase. Pick up in central west Los Angeles or we do ship worldwide.
