This is a First Edition, early printing of "Ben-Hur" by Lee Wallace. The 560-pg hardcover was published in 1880 by Harper & Brothers, Franklin Square. This popular, best-selling book on Christianity was made into several films, including the 1959 Charlton Heston blockbuster movie.
Themes in the book include Redemption and Forgiveness, and also Love, Faith and Transformation.: In the novel, Ben-Hur’s journey from vengeance to spiritual peace is said to evoke the teachings of Christ. There are 12 pages of book advertisements following the book's ending. The book is in very good condition after 145 years. Clean, bright and unmarked; free of foxing and aroma.
