DETAILS
An antique framed, rectangular needlework sampler with four rows of block alphabets in upper and lower case and the numbers from one to zero. The lower half wiith decorative elements including trees, flowers, vines, and scrolls around a flowering basket.
MONOGRAM / INSCRIPTION
Label (on reverse): This sampler belonged to Margaret Green / daughter of Mary Proctor Green my / grandfather's sister / It was probably done by her Aunt Sarah Woodward (Mason).
