American hand loomed hooked cotton rug in an original design of squares bisected on the diagonal with ivory tones on one side and a limited palette of powder blue, lavender, black, brown, and red. The patterns within the diagonals uses random wavy lines in contrasting colors. The palette is unique and each square is hooked in an individual variation. This is an original American folk art work with a distinctive palette & design by an anonymous maker. The reverse has been fitted with three metal hooks for hanging on the wall.
