The sensuous, languorous nature of the female nude's pose and her close embrace of the sinuous lily pad (which provides the place for a candle) shows the clear influence of Auguste Rodin and the Art Nouveau movement. This piece has a dark, lustrous patina, displays the foundry mark, and the date of creation, 1904. See less
