Offered is a vintage 1970s burnished and glazed ceramic hexagonal-shaped bowl depicting a pigeon from Tonalá in Jalisco, Mexico and created by Ken Edwards renowned for his studio, El Palomar.
The bird and flower are typical of the region, as are the earth-tone colors, green, gray, blue and brown - made from natural tints native to the area.
While non-leaded and perfectly safe for serving food, it also makes a lovely display or trinket vide poche bowl for a coffee-table, centerpiece, or on a console.
The bowl measures 8.5" W x 7.5" D x 1.25" H.
