American Pottery Pair of Terracotta Vases
Late 20th Century
A striking pair of large terracotta vases, each with a robust bulbous body rising from a slightly flared foot to a double rolled rim. The gray-white surface is accented at the shoulder with vertical scored lines, lending a refined texture and rhythm to the form.
The interiors are finished in black, and each vase is fitted with a drainage hole at the base. Substantial in presence and weight, each vessel measures 19 ¾ inches in height by 14 ¼ inches in width and weighs approximately 32.6 pounds.
