An impressive Hoke Wood Products nine drawer walnut and burl dresser.
This sculptural Mid Century lowboy is gorgeous and has been restored to the original design and colors. The depth and clarity of the walnut and burl far exceeds the original, factory finish.
The front of the dresser is slightly concave, 19.25" deep at the center and 21" at both ends.
We have the matching tall gentleman's chest, a pair of boat shaped mirrors and a queen headboard for sale in other listings. The last image shows the two mirrors above the dresser, the mirrors are not included in the sale of the dresser...
Originally called Hoke Wood Products Company because the end products mostly were components used by other manufacturers instead of finished furniture. Mr. Hoke changed the name to Hoke Furniture Company to reflect the changes in production when the Hoke Furniture Collection covered everything from baby cribs to tables, clock cases, dining room sets, and bedroom sets. Hoke was located in Thurmont, Maryland, unfortunately the factory was destroyed in a 1985 fire.
