This striking lounge chair from the 1960s offers both sculptural elegance and exceptional comfort. Reminiscent of Hans Wegner’s iconic “Papa Bear” chair, this piece features bold, organic lines and a commanding presence – yet with a softness and warmth that invites relaxation.
Though the exact maker is unknown, the craftsmanship and design clearly reflect the refined aesthetics of mid-century Scandinavian furniture. The high back, gently curved armrests, and generous proportions provide outstanding seating comfort, making it as functional as it is beautiful.
The chair is in solid structural condition and remains highly usable as is. However, a professional cleaning or reupholstery would greatly enhance its appearance and restore it to its original glory – a worthwhile investment for such a unique piece.
