During the mid-nineteenth century, the Singer Company became world-famous with its invention of the sewing machine. In 1910, the company launched a range of professional furniture for the textile industry, the centrepiece of the collection a stool with a cast-iron base and wooden seat. The wooden seat is height adjustable via lockable wing nut. Cast Singer manufactures mark to base legs.

Workshop Report: Overall very good, cast metal in original condition, the stool retain its locking wing nuts, wood and metalwork waxed for future protection. There are some markings to the wooden seat in places. As with all our products, this product is an original vintage item so there are signs of wear from use.
