17th Century Oak Chest of Drawers or Garret Chest
A Garret Chest is one that can be broken down to give ease of access usually to a garret room or attic bedroom
The chest has 4 long drawers, the drawer fronts are trimmed with geometric mouldings, in the style of their time
This is a heavy chest of drawers and it stands on peg feet and is if of very solid construction it has no creaks, it is in good condition with age related marks
The chest measures 37" high 38" wide and 22" deep and of course comes into 2 for ease of access
