(image) In this silkscreen from the beginning of her career as a visual artist, the Franco-American artist depicts a richly decorated tree, from which snakes emanate, protecting a lying woman from her tree. This motif is recurrent in her work, and prefigures in particular her monumental 1992 sculpture exhibited at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Angers.
