Two iron rings on the front would have been used to tether the horses as they approached the trough. Minor losses, coupled with commensurate oxidation to the horse ties, enhance the appeal of the trough. The limestone is light gray with accents of cream and beige and features subtle texturing of the façade. With two 34 x 11 (inches) basins, our limestone trough would make a wonderful planter box or a basin for a wall-mounted fountain spout. It would also make an incredible interior farmhouse sink, with the horse ties functioning as towel holders. See less
