What a demure-sized treasure! This gorgeous, mahogany-flame, writing desk combines a writing surface with storage—it is a desk when opened and the contents are concealed when closed. It was most likely made in Europe, and has all of its original hardware—including the key!!! The key locks and unlocks both the writing desk and its drawer—a truly spectacular piece of history!
The marquetry is spectacular, with abalone, copper, and bronze—not to mention the four, sultry, cabriole legs!
