Antique Burgess & Leigh Semi-Porcelain Covered Tureen – “Napoli” Pattern (circa late 1800s–early 1900s)
This elegant covered tureen was crafted by Burgess & Leigh of Middleport Pottery, Burslem, England, makers of fine ceramics since 1862. Marked “Semi-Porcelain, England, Burgess & Leigh, Middleport Pottery, Burslem, Napoli, Rd No. 485144”, this piece dates to the late Victorian/Edwardian period.
The design features a beautiful blue transferware “Napoli” pattern, showcasing classical urns, scrollwork, and floral motifs. The dish is finished with gilded accents on the handles, rim, and finial, adding a touch of luxury.
