Extensively exhibited in Paris Salons throughout the Jazz and Deco Age, Belgian-born artist Claire Jeanne Roberte Colinet (1880-1950) was know for her fluid, dynamic figural sculptures.
This statue, entitled 'The Trickstress,' exemplifies her signature style. It features a nude female balancing on one leg while juggling three balls. It is mounted on a circular marble base bearing the artist's signature, "C. J. R. Colinet. " It's a truly lovely period piece to grace any sideboard or table.
