This piece captures the beauty of the High Desert of Nevada, the wide open spaces. He is carved out of the wood from the Sonoran Desert. The Native people there carve their creations out of the felled trees and use what they have to make these beautiful pieces. The carver usually carves the piece and the women of the tribe polish it. They left the rock rough and craggy and polished the big horn sheep. It is the best one I've seen, very artistic! I have seen these beautiful animals climbing the cliffs, then they will stop and look down on the valley below. See less
