This richly decorated victorian claret jug is crafted in electroplated silver by james deakin & sons, one of sheffield’s united kingdom most respected late 19th-century silversmithing firms. The body is embellished with finely hand-engraved floral garlands and oval cartouches, one with an engraved monogram. The high arched handle terminates in a dramatic cast ram’s head, a classical motif popular in high-victorian silverware. A richly decorative victorian claret jug, suitable as a collector’s piece or as a statement accent in dining or interior settings. The base is stamped jd&s ep together with the pattern number 1362. This piece has an attribution mark,
