Created for louis poulsen, denmark, this lamp was part of jacobsen’s comprehensive design project for the sas royal hotel in copenhagen, a landmark of mid-century modernism. The lamp’s brown-grey finished metal base features an oval cast iron foot, offering stability with a substantial weight. A unique aspect of its design, the base mirrors the size and shape of the cylindrical shade above it, creating a harmonious symmetry and adding a refined detail to the lamp’s minimalist aesthetic. This early edition of the sas floor lamp is a collector’s gem, in very good original condition with minor, age-appropriate wear that enhances its character and authenticity. For us usage we could change the plug, or you can get a converter if needed for a floor or table lamp with transformer in it. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. official proof of authenticity,
