A magnificent painting with a high-relief sculpture depicting a beautiful pair of horses. This work was created in a limited edition of 108/150 by renowned sculptor Luciano Morosi (signed lower right). It comes in a gilded wooden frame with red velvet lining. Excellent Italian craftsmanship, a striking and rare piece for discerning collectors.
Excellent overall condition with normal signs of aging.
Completely handcrafted and finished in the mid-1900s.
Luciano Morosi (1930-1994) was an Italian-Brazilian artist.
Born in North Africa and living in South America, he became one of the most important representatives of Brazilian art. He participated in several important international biennials, including those in Tokyo, Venice, and São Paulo.
His artistic production was highly varied. In addition to painting, he experimented with various techniques and materials, creating ceramic works, iron and copper sculptures, and artistic jewelry. He was also known for his use of mixed media, such as ink and coffee grounds.
Morosi was a post-war and contemporary artist. His works have been exhibited on several occasions, and some have been sold at auction.
