It Comes from … Read more This Really is a Very Rare & Beautiful Antique Wall Hanging Front Porch Doorbell. Circa Approx 1890. It Comes from the Late Victorian Aesthetic Period and it is Rendered in the Gothic Revival Style. Large Size & Scale Measuring Overall Approx 25 1/4 Tall x 9 inches Long x 7 1/2 Wide - Deep. The Bell Measures 6 inches Long - Wide.

How to Operate. The Bell is Mounted on a Spring Loaded Mechanism. To Activate the Bell Just Pull Down on the Round Bar and Then Release. The Bell will Spring Back in to action and Omit a Very Loud and Clear Ring Tone. The Mounting Bracket Assembly is Solid Brass However the Bell itself Appears to be Heavily Cast in Solid Bronze

This is a Very Fine Quality and Well Made Piece with Great Detail in the Features. It is Completely and Substantially Hand Made with Multiple Piece Construction Weighing Approx 7 1/2 Pounds. It is in Excellent Cosmetic and Functional Condition with No Damage - No Repairs. It is Very Lightly Tarnished with Some Very Light Verdigris in the Gothic Features. I am Quite Sure that it Would Also Polish Up Beautifully if so Desired.
