The majority of the design pieces sold were for formal use, not everyday. That they even MADE mixing bowls in this design is unusual. That they were clearly used - and regularly- is even more so. The bowls are made of a thick, heavy duty pottery style rather than fine china, which is likely the only reason they survived. The hand painted gold line detail on the larger one is nearly gone, there's chips galore on both bases ( small ones on the base), the color is faded but they're still going strong.
