Pair of Ward Bennett for Brickel style side chairs in great vintage condition. There are no manufacturer markings but the design and splaying of back legs are consistent.
In 1963, Mr. Bennett began a collaboration with Brickel Associates designing furniture and textiles. He is considered a prodigious designer of objects and Bennett's design's are well represented in the Museum of Modern Art's permanent collection and in the Cooper-Hewitt Museum.
