Marc Chagall (1887-1958) Poems - The Painter Original woodcut, 1968 Unsigned On vellum format 36.8 x 28.5 cm Very rare test proof before the final print (color test) Very good condition NOTE: Printer's proof of a woodcut for the book "Poems" published in 1968 by Cramer in an edition of 238. These are the only woodcuts produced by Marc Chagall. REFERENCE: Cramer catalog raisonné "Chagall: illustrated books" n°74 This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
