Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this absolutely stunning original hand painted French Country dressing table which … Read more Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this absolutely stunning original hand painted French Country dressing table which is part of a small suite Circa 1890-1910 I have the matching side table listed under my other items which is sublime Both pieces are very fine quality, hand crafted in France and hand painted, this piece has a later papered top under the glass with is also original and nicely bevelled, its hand cut glass being well over 100 years old so it has lots of patina around the edges, really its a miracle it survived If you know anything about quality furniture you will know to look at the back of the drawers, this piece has hand cut dovetail joints, the backs of the drawers are bevelled and the bottom sections are pined in place at the back so they don't slide in and out, this really was a no expense spared commission The tri panel mirror has the original foxed plate glass, this is very desirable as it proves the age, this mirror has a massively oversized bevelled edge which pulls the light in to the middle of the frames In terms of the condition, we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there will be normal age and use related patina marks here and there but honestly its in very fine order indeed Dimensions Height:- 142cm top to bottom, table top height alone 77cm Width:- 105.5cm Depth:- 42cm Under leg height 67cm, width 43cm See less
