Maddux of California was a ceramics company that operated in California from the 1930s to the 1970s. They produced a wide range of ceramic items, including decorative figurines, planters, and vases. Their designs were heavily influenced by the art deco and mid-century modern styles, and they were known for their bold and colorful glazes. Lefton is a mark found on pottery, porcelain, glass, and other wares imported by the Geo. Zoltan Lefton Company. The company started in 1941. George Lefton died in 1996 and members of the family continued to run the company. Lefton was sold to OMT Enterprises of Gardena, California, in 2005 and is now a division of that company.
