The Modernist poster print is published by Artcurial for The Centre D'Art Plastique Contemporain, printed in France in 1978 in an unnumbered limited edition on the occasion of the " Artcurtial " exhibition.

Sonia Delaunay ( 1885 - 1979 ) born Sarah Llintchna Stern, was a Jewish Ukrainian born French artist, who spent most of her working life in Paris. She was formally trained in Russia and Germany before moving to France and expanding her practice to include textile, fashion, and set design. She co-founded The Orphism Art Movement, known for its use of strong colors and geometric shapes, with her husband artist Robert Delaunay and others.

She was the first living female artist to have a retrospective exhibition at The Louvre Museum in Paris in 1964, and in 1975 was named an officer of The French Legion of Honor. Delaunay's work in Modern Design included the concepts of Geometric Abstraction, and the integration of furniture, fabrics, wall coverings, and clothing into her oeuvre of art practices.

The rare out of print framed Modernist exhibition poster print measures 20 3/8" W X 31 3/4" H X 1 3/8" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern matte eggshell finish slim profile black metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent condition. The poster print is n excellent vintage condition consistent with age, light signs of handling, and some light visible surface wear.
