We are selling this great charming small birdseye maple veneered box. This great box has simple marquetry top and birdseye lid and sides. The great part of the box is the personal inscription on the base identifying the maker as Jakob Kummer Prisoner of war no 3756 who was captured on the first day of the Battle of the Somme by the British in 1916.
Condition: Some small damages and losses to the veneer.
