They have been making high-quality Delft Blue pottery since 1653. This richly decorated Delft Blue candleholder has the well-known graphic signature of Royal Delft. The Delft Blue candleholder is hand painted, so no copy is the same. They use special brushes and black cobalt oxide paint that they dilute to get the 4 shades of blue found in Royal Delft. It takes 8 years to become a master painter for Royal Delft. There is the Royal Delft mark on the bottom with the painters initials and the date mark for 1968. See less
