Its smaller size is traditionally made for a lady's use with delicate proportions and refined craftsmanship. The back frame has a slight curve supporting a straight crest trail decorated with small carved spandrels, the back splat frame has three decorative insets of auspicious motifs. What makes this chair stand out are the decorative openwork apron on three sides of the chair. The decorative aprons are unusually long. running along under the seat and down to the feet. The original finish ages very well except for areas of handling and use, such as the top rail and the seating area. See less
