We are selling this nice pair of small decorative Hispano Moresque style plates. These Majolica pottery type plates are decorated in typical style with copper colored iridescent luster decoration in geometric style simple patterns. Hispano Moresque is mostly associated as origination on the Iberian peninsula and we believe these plates to probably be from Spain and most likely 19th century.
Condition: There are some firing flaws in the pottery of the plates with damages to the glaze and decoration but are probably original to creation of the pieces. There are a few chips on th exterior rim that may be more recent.
