What initially caught … Read more This beauty was sourced from an estate sale from a collection of prominent families in Houston, Texas. What initially caught my eye about this piece is the varied colors applied to the finish and the texture of this Japanese Raku style vase. The information provided stated it's antique, Japanese style from the 1920's.

The vessel has a flat rim of crackled glaze in celadon color with drips of camel color along with a a pair of twisted handles which adorn the bulbous top. The vase opening is 2.5 inches. The remaining finish is in a rich chocolate brown with added texture. It's small size would fit onto any buffet, mantel or shelf beautifully. If you're a collector of Japanese Raku vases, them make this a "keeper" in your home.
