A pair of late 19th to early 20th century antique ale bottles. From research, it is mentioned these vessels were perhaps used to store ginger beer. originating in Scotland, however, this pair has no makers marks on them. The bottles have a classic design with the bottom half in a cream colored glaze and the top half is a mustard/goldenrod glazed color. The patina on the bottle has a few hairline cracks and a chip in the larger one, see pictures. It does not affect the function of the piece, but gives it character.
If you love a farmhouse or European rustic style, then make these “a keeper“ in your home. Please read description, dimensions and photos carefully, and if you have questions, inquire.
