Jonny was commissioned to create our Vintage Supermarket brush department. Jonny creates his brushes entirely with his own hands and traditional wood working tools. He selects locally sourced and gathered timbers which inspire his unique brush designs. Bristles are plant fibres such as coco or gumati. The height dimension is being used as the thickness or depth of the brush. The listing is for one brush. There are additional inspirational images from our Vintage Supermarket, showing the contemporary maker and their works created for our event – these are additional images for inspiration, the listing is for the specific product only as described. Workshop Report: Contemporary brush made using locally sourced and foraged timbers, typically yew, spalted beech and monkey puzzle. Each brush is unique, for care we recommend cleaning with a slightly damp cloth as required and occasionally a very light application of a proprietary wood oil such as boiled linseed oil. Do not use chemicals, submerge brushes in water or clean the bristles. Small cracks may appear as wood is a natural product.
