Beautiful porcelain Rosenthal vase made in Germany. Signed by Danish artist,Bjørn Wiinblad, who was a painter, designer and ceramicist. Bjørn Wiinblad became world-famous for his imaginative drawings and decorations, which are full of romantic girls, mythical figures and wonderful patterns. His work has been shown widely in Europe, and first shown in United States in 1954. Characteristics of Wiinblad's work include whimsical round-faced people. They are often surrounded by natural elements: twining vines. Wiinblad was an important designer for Rosenthal porcelain company. This vase, "Love Story", definitely shows his different techniques that he is known for- soft gray outlines of a woman sitting. Surrounding her are vines with gold leaves. There are birds in vibrant colors of green, red, orange, and yellow. The front of the vase is signed in gold 'Bjørn Wiinblad' and the bottom is signed 'Rosenthal Germany'.
