Fantastic rare pop art porcelain vase made by Rosenthal as part of their Studio Line. A triangular column, adorned in undulating ribbons of orange and shades of yellow, I have not come across another vase like it, either in person or online.
Wolf Karnagel designed for Rosenthal in the 1970s. The style and colors of this vase are very similar to those in his Joy 3 orange design dinnerware. No other Rosenthal designer that I’m aware of, produced anything similar to this design. I am therefore attributing this design to him. Whether it is his design or another of Rosenthal’s fantastic designers, this is definitely an exceptional piece.
