The inside has multiple compartments and striking original amethyst silk velvet. There are two secret compartments for valuables cached within the compartments which open with an unusual trigger system. Very good antique condition with a lovely French polished surface, some wear to the interior surfaces, especially the velvet and some small losses to the edges of the interior ebony dividers. Second half of the 19th century.
