Introduced in 1978, the company described them as "designed to be seen. Fill them with anything. Tight sealing colorful plastic lids on sturdy glass jars". The design is often attributed to Massimo Vignelli but he actually only designed the brochure and packaging for them, not the jars themselves. See less
